MIXING FAQ
See some frequently asked questions about our online mixing service below, if there is anything that you feel hasn't been answered for you please get in touch with us!
-
How long does it take to mix my song?
It can take anything up to 2 days, but we don’t rush, it needs to be right, and you need to be happy! Turn around is usually within a week if communication is thorough and swift.
-
Do you charge extra for any changes I wish to make?
Absolutely not, we change things until your happy! Once you have signed off we archive your project, so thereafter there may be an hourly fee for anything else.
-
Do you charge for extra studio time?
No, the hire of our studio facilities (and of course costs of upkeep of gear) are included in the price.
-
Do you charge extra for stems?
Yes we do. We are aware that this is not always the case with other mix engineers, but fees for extra stemming post mix keeps us away from doing an additional bespoke work for free, especially as our mix fee is quite reasonable.
-
Can we also attend the mix session to make changes?
Yes, we would welcome a visit from the decision makers regarding the project, including producer, artist or any other significant role, after the second draft.
-
Why do you charge a deposit before carrying out any work?
Because it prevents us from doing extensive amounts of mix prep and working on the mix, only to later find out that the project is not being pursued, or being shelved until a later date etc. If a potential client is unsure of the quality or approach of our services, then we can always discuss what exactly is required prior to being commissioned, and ensure as to whether we can deliver or not.
